Drinkers Get Squeezed By Lemons

Despite outshooting their opponent 29-26, Team Teal fell to the eLEMONators 3-1 at the MSA Sunday afternoon.  At 4:25 in the first period, Rob Lovaglio put Teal up 1-0 when he beat goalie Jason Getz with a beautiful breakaway goal.  The Drinkers take on the Rowdy Roosters on February 13th at 6:30PM at the MSA.

Drinkers Slip, Slide, and Tie Black Ice

Team Teal tied Black Ice 3-3 on Sunday at the MSA.  Andy Block got on the scoreboard first with the lone tally of the first period.  Rob Lovaglio found the back of the net twice and Tim Jones stood tall in net once again for the Drinkers.  Team Teal take on the eLEMONators 3:30PM next Sunday at the MSA.

Teal Blanked by Bombers

Despite outshooting their opponents, the Designated Drinkers could not crack Bomber goalie Jason Getz and lost 5-0 to the Orange on Sunday at the MSA.  The Drinkers take on Black Ice at 2 PM Jan 23rd at the MSA.

About Team Teal

The Designated Drinkers (Teal) are one of 8 Adult Hockey B League teams competing in the Winter League of 2011 at the Main Street Arena in Charlottesville, VA. The team has 14 players and the captain is Jim Waddell. Games are every Sunday, except February 6th (Super Bowl Sunday), at the MSA and start between 2:00PM and 8:00PM, depending on our schedule.

Team Teal Wins Season Opener

The Designated Drinkers won their season opener versus Bad Intentions 5-4 on Sunday, January 9th at the MSA.
